Katie’s Diner
As you might expect from a place run by a husband-and-wife team, this cute little diner has a warm, welcome and homely atmosphere. The handful of tables enjoy a view onto the parkland of Bruntsfield Links, and the menu runs from barbecue chicken wings and nachos to prime Scottish steaks and juicy homemade burgers with fries and coleslaw.

Buffalo Grill
This Stockbridge incarnation of Buffalo Grill is a bit more spacious than the original branch, but has the same Wild West decor and beefy, all-American menu. Unlike the original branch this place is fully licensed, but they still allow you to BYOB if you prefer (£1 corkage per bottle of wine).
