I am an Australian GCC resident looking to transit Saudi Arabia and board the ferry from Jeddah to Port Sudan. I can not find any recent information on the internet regarding the ferry company or sailing schedules can anyone assist with this information?

Thanks in advance

Are there any ferries which travel between Saudi Arabia and Egypt (e.g. Duba and Safaga)?
The websites of the companies who are supposed to have ferries running are either empty, or the show no concrete information (no schedules or prices).
If yes, can we use the ferries as foreigners (provided we would solve the visa question)?
Did anybody travel this way?

Work and tourist

Hi,

I have a commercial visa for 2 weeks, but maybe only 1 weeks work (in Jeddah).

Does anyone know if I could get into 'trouble' if I took the second week to be a 'tourist' and travel say to Madain Saleh?

Thanks

Hi

I was thinking of taking the ferry from Suakin to jeddah then getting a bus or two all the way to Doha. I have a connecting flight (originally from Khartoum) in Doha

Is this remotely feasible?
Is a connecting flight (back to London) from Doha sufficient proof of onward travel?

I heard you can get the transit visas from suakin

Here’s some information on how I managed to visit Riyadh on a transit visa in January 2017. It may be of use to others, so I’ll post as much of the detail as I can recall.

While searching for flights from London to Addis Ababa, I noticed a result showed up with a 19 hour stopover in Riyadh. I thought it might be a good opportunity to try and visit the city, although I’d read about the difficulties of getting a visa for Saudi Arabia. Inspired by this post from a fellow British citizen, I decided…

Last weekend, two friends and I headed from Riyadh to Al Ula in northwestern Saudi Arabia for a fascinating 2 1/2 day adventure exploring the unimaginably diverse and larger-than-life landscapes, inspiring archeological sites and lush farms of the area.

Our guide, Khalil Albalawi, founder of Arnawa Tours is from Al Ula and knows the area like the back of his hand. We called him about a week in advance (+966592100072) and he made all the arrangements, including full board accommodation in a…

My husband and I were thinking to travel to Saudi Arabia to explore the region.

I wanted a company that was located in the hub to ensure that I am near if any problem occurs as I am traveling from North America.

So I kept on searching online for a trust site [commercial details removed] They had the same scheme as online bookings but what surprised me it was targeting and suggested for each category where to go.

Anyhow I wanted to visit Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam. It started all in the bride…
