My sister plan to go to Mecca next year, she is 19YO and single, is anyone know what she need to prepare, I meant in term of administration thing. I have call one travel agency here they said my sister need to pay for muhrim card or something like a letter which stated that my sister is traveling alone without her male family. Is anyone can explain to me about it ? please help me.

I will soon travelling to Jeddah Saudi Arabia. Its difficult find information on where to exchange Euros or USD or UK Pounds. Could you please let me names of exchange place in Jeddah. I can exhcnage money at banks, but Exchange place have better rates for Euros & Pounds, I know Saudi money is fix rate USD

My family and I are moving to Dhahran near Dammam in Spring. We have a mixture of electrical appliances bought in the UK and Japan. I'm trying to understand what will be compatible with the electricity supply in that part of Saudi. Plug sockets are not an issue because we can easily get adapters if necessary, but the supply is trickier if there are compatibility problems.
Can anyone on the ground there, or with first hand experience from there, tell me what the electricity supply…

I read the regulations and since I got loads of books (around 2,000), I was wondering if there was any issues with:
- Magazines such as National Geographic where there can be photos of women showing too much flesh
- Comics for adults (Seinen manga for instance can be quite blunt at times)
- Art books (contemporary and classic)
- Comics for kids

I was wondering what the situation was for credit cards in Saudi Arabia. Is it possible to pay at restaurants and shops with card? What about things like transportation or attractions or at airports?

Transit Without Visa - Leaving Airport

The visados website suggests that for a 7 hour transit stop in Riyadh it may be possible to leave the airport WITHOUT A VISA. Has anyone heard of this being successful as it conflicts with everything I have read before.
I know this question is asked alot but I couldn't find the right answer yet.
