My letter to Rwanda Migration of Feb.21st
My name is Giorgio Scala, Italian passport xxxxxxxxxxxxx, and i have made an application and a payment for an east African Visa trough your system on Feb. 2nd, 2017 with my credit card mastercard ending with xxxx.
Since you have not send any email of confirmation of payment, once I arrived in Kigali airport on Feb.12th, I had to pay again for a visa.

Hi guys, I'm an amateur wildlife photographer, interested in traveling and exploring Africa. I have been thinking about Rwanda, because it is an amazing location for seeing mountain gorillas. I don't want to contribute to any businesses that promote tourism that isn't eco-friendly, however. I want to photograph gorillas, but I don't want to disturb any of them in the process. So I'm looking for a tourism company that has a focus on photography and also respects the Earth and all wildlife, which…
Currently in Tanzania and planning on visiting Kenya, Rwanda & Uganda before making my way to Ethiopia but I'm still undecided on the route I want to take. I've read that the EAV is available on the border with Kenya but I can't find any information on whether this is true with the Rwanda border. Has anyone had any experiences with getting the visa at the border?
I have three days. One for travelling from Kigali to Volcanoes, one for visiting the Gorillas, one for driving back to Kigali.
1) I will arrive in Kigali and wonder what is the best and common way how tourists get from Kigali to the Gorillas?
2) Is it necessary to book accomodation in advance for the Volcanoes or even better to do this on arrival?
Can anyone recommend advice on how we get from Kigali to the border and on into the DRC at Goma? We ultimately need to get to mikeno Lodge. We already have visas.
I am taking part in a teacher training project for three weeks, beginning August 7th, but was hoping to go out there a week or two early to see more of the country. I have since found out that the presidential election is on 4th August and am keen to find out:
1. What/how much will be closed on election day or leading up to it, and whether this will make travelling in the country tricky
2. How safe it is to travel in that area as a single female
3. Whether any sort of backlash/political…

I've been traveling to Rwanda for over 10 years and am often asked by other travelers to recommend a tour company or driver. I have been driven by the same guy for over ten years and can;t recommend him highly enough. He knows Rwanda and Uganda like the back of his hand and freelances for a number of the reputable tour companies but you can hire him direct. He's a great guy - safe, thoughtful, knowledgable, he's really great! His name is Isaac and you can reach him on +250788778277
