I'm planning a trip to Rwanda in September, and I would like to ask some questions to people who might have more experience and knowledge on the topic of getting around and avoiding stupid mistakes :).
The Idea is I'll be entering Rwanda on 16th of September, and leaving on the 26th (+/- 1 day) to Nairobi. I wanna see some of the Volcanoes (I thought about climbing Bisoke, as it seems the one most affordable, and visiting the remains of Karisoke RC), want to go at least for a day to…
I know that as a Brit I can get a visa for 30 days on arrival (I am referring to the Rwanda only visa and not the East African one) and that I must now pay a fee BUT is it easy to get an extension for another 30 days in Kigali and where would I need to go?
I´m interested in going Gorilla trekking on my trip in Rwanda. But I didn´t get a permit in advance.
Does anybody know if I can also get a permit while Im in Kigali or elsewhere?
Maybe it´s cheaper to get it while in the country instead of booking it online?
Or would it be possible to get a permit from somebody who reserved and isn´t showing up? Like a last minuted ticket or so?
Any tips or info where and how to get a permit and if possible cheaper would be good to know.
(the prices are quite high…

does anyone know if the bus from Kigali to Kampala will take bikes? I will do a cycle trip the other way but won't have time and the mood to cycle back to Kampala.
Thanks for help,
I'm travelling to Rwanda in February and half of March and I was wondering, aside from the YF vaccination that I think is required, what advice do people have about anti-malarials- which ones, and where you would go about getting them? This is probably a really easily answered question but I've never been to Africa before- For example, two years ago I visited Thailand and countries surrounding and all the guidebooks said to use anti-malarial drugs, but I never met a single person…
Hello dear travelers,
does anybody know if I can get a visa at the Rwanda-Burundi border? I've European passport.
How long would it be valid and how much does it cost?
Or could I get a Burundi visa at the embassy in Kigali?
How long would it be valid and what is the shortest possible visa?
how much does it cost? How long does it take till the visa is issued?
Im doing a Africa trip and need urgently good information.
Thanks so much guys, cheers :)
I have a gorilla permit for the 6th of June 2016. I was thinking to leave my home country around the 22th of May.
I can stay one full month if needed. Do you think that three weeks will be enough to travel there properly ?
I didn't cross any border except, maybe, with DRC if it's quiet around Goma. I travel on my own, using public transports.
Thank you in advance.
