Looking for a job as ESL teacher in Uganda or Rwanda starting mid-September. Have TESOL and Bachelors, but not a certified teacher and have only 1 year experience. Can stay indefinitely. Any leads would be awesome. Thanks!
Hello! I will be spending 8 days between Uganda and Rwanda, starting in Lake Bunyoni on 16 July and end up in Akagera for 2-4 days (need to be back in Kigali by 24th). Anyone have any tours booked that I can join?!
Or, if I hire a 4x4 en route to Akagera (from Kigali) will have space to take others. Let me know if you have space to add 1 chilled out Canadian or would like to join for some part/ all of that!
My husband and I have Ugandan work permits and our kids have student passes; do we need to do anything more to be permitted into Rwanda? Will we have to apply for a visa? We are driving from Uganda to Rwanda.
Hi all I am considering a flight to Tanzania (from London) that has about an 11 hour layover in Kigali (arrive early AM and leave early evening) and would like to head into the city. Feasible? Also how to get a taxi driver they won't rip us off?!
I'm on a last minute trip to Africa this weekend, and have an overnight layover in Kigali on Monday. I land around 8pm, then flying out at noon on Tuesday, so only a short stop.
I've been to Kigali before so won't be attempting any sightseeing. However, I was hoping to grab a beer in the evening, then have a bit of a walk in the morning before heading to the airport.
I think I'm going to stay in an Airbnb to save money (unless there's a good hotel for ~$50 or less), so basically I'm…
I haven't found a satisfactory answer to this anywhere online, on the Rwandan govt website, or on the TT. When applying online for the EATV, there is a space to submit an invitation letter. What is this, and do I need it? Should I leave it empty, or should I include a hotel reservation or an airline ticket? Very confused.

I am 65 and will be going to Rwanda for a gorilla trek and to take a safari in Tanzania in June. I have lots of questions about conflicting information I have read about the risk of yellow fever in these countries, whether or not authorities check for proof of vaccination and whether a letter of exemption (due to age over 65) is accepted. Does a letter of exemption need to be from a doctor specializing in travel, or can it be from a primary care doctor?
The only reference I have seen saying…
