One of the finest ways to momentarily escape from a St Petersburg winter is to head for the Floral Exhibition Hall, an indoor tropical paradise just northwest of the Tauride Gardens. If you are sufficiently inspired, there is no shortage of flower stalls and florists in the vicinity, so you can take a little piece of paradise back home with you, too.
