Getting there & around
Kem is a stop along the Petrozavodsk- Murmansk railway, with six to eight daily trains to Murmansk (R650 to R800, 12 hours) and Petrozavodsk (R510 to R625, nine hours) and two or three each day to St Petersburg (R1050 to R1300, 17 hours) and Moscow (R1230 to R1500, 23 to 27 hours). Station ticket windows are open 24 hours.
'Vokzal-Port' marshrutky and bus 1 (both R10, 30 minutes) run every 20 to 30 minutes between pr Proletarsky (in front of the train station) and Rabocheostrovsk. Marshrutky charge R20 after 9pm. A taxi to Rabocheostrovsk is R150.
