Kola TAVS(61111; ul Lenina 2A; air tickets 8am-2pm & 3-7pm Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm Sat & Sun, bus tickets 5.45am-2pm & 3-6pm, train tickets 8am-6pm Mon-Sat) is the central outlet for transport tickets.
From Khibiny airport(KVK; 62132), 14km south of Apatity, Aeroflot-Nord flies to Moscow Sheremetyevo (R4000, 2¼ hours) three days a week (daily from June to August) and to St Petersburg (R3150, 1¾ hours) on Sunday only.
Apatity's train station(71200) has up to eight daily trains to Murmansk (R250 to R390, four to five hours), Kandalaksha (R80 to R130, 1½ hours), Kem (R400 to R500, seven hours) and Petrozavodsk (R780 to R1040, 16 hours), and two or three to St Petersburg (R1150 to R1500, 24 to 25 hours) and Moscow (R1450 to R1850, 31 to 35 hours).
There are buses to Murmansk (R221, five hours, four daily), Monchegorsk (R74, one hour, four or five daily) from pl Lenina, and frequent local buses (101, 102 and 105) to Kirovsk (R16, 30 minutes) from ul Fersmana.
Bus 8 (R8) runs between the train station and ul Lenina, via pl Lenina, every 40 minutes. Bus 11 also goes up and down ul Lenina from pl Lenina.
