If you head south from Maly Moskvoretsky most, the first lane on the right contains the tall Resurrection Church in Kadashi, a restoration centre for other churches. Its rich, late 17th-century decoration is a fine example of ‘Moscow baroque’. The tall and elegant belfry earned the nickname ‘the candle’.
