Lonely Planet review for Beige Cafe
Beige might sound boring, but subtle lines and soft colours render this romantic cafe anything but. The setting is so sensual due in part to the circular room, arched doorways and rounded ceilings. The lack of sharp angles is cosy and comfortable, but still sophisticated. Dine on grilled fish and steaks, pasta, soup and salad, with an emphasis on fresh vegetables - this place is a great find for the health conscious.

Disturbing events while enjoying dinner
motandi recommends this,
So there I was at dinner with my friends Andrei and Nadia. We were sitting outside at Beige Cafe enjoying some wonderful kabob. Hunks of meet skewered and grilled to perfection then served with some fresh veggies and bread. It was a beautiful evening in downtown Moscow, it was around midnight and darkness had settled upon the city. We were enjoying our meal when I head to the restroom. While standing in line for the restroom I started looking out the window and to my shock I spotted what looked to be a naked man in a fountain. I stood there for a few moments trying to peer through the darkness to see if what I thought I was seeing was really what I was seeing. I left the restroom and decided to go take a closer look at the fountain. As I approached the fountain I realized, much to my surprise, that I had been incorrect. There was not a naked man in the fountain, but two drunken naked Russian men in a small fountain. The first a skinny man, was playing in the bottom basis. The second a much larger man had climbed into the upper bird bath like, basin of the fountain and was scrunched in enjoying vodka and a beer. The two men attracted quite a crowd. The crowd drew a security guard who began yelling at the two men and telling them to get out of the fountain. The bathers, however were not discourage, they graciously stood their ground and responded to the guards’ harassment by lighting up their cigarettes, mocking the guard. You have to have the right blood alcohol level to mock anyone while sitting scrunched, naked in a fountain. Finally the guard left, tail tucked between his legs, he was discouraged by his failure to enforce his position of authority. From our table we could see the two men finally emerging from the fountain, they were talking, stretching and delaying the dressing process as much as humanly possible.
