Taganka Theatre information
This legendary theatre is famous for its rebellious director, Yury Lyubimov, and the unruly actor Vladimir Vysotsky. The Taganka received attention for its exploration of ‘epic theatre’ – a reaction against the method acting that was pioneered across town by Stanislavsky.
