    Lonely Planet review

Within this 18th-century grand hotel's powder-green exterior is an old-world landscape dripping in glass chandeliers, monogrammed carpets, huge beds and gilt paint furniture. Could do with a refurb in places but a stay here will be an atmospheric one.

Our independent authors have visited Hotel Imparatul Romanilor and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Sibiu.
