we have been doing cooking classes in every country we visited so far and now we will spend a couple of days in Bucharest in July. As far as I could find on google, there is only one big cooking class offering lots of classes except for Romanian food. Does anyone have any idea where to find a nice, typical class?
Thank you so much for your help!
I am planning on spending roughly two weeks in Romania this summer (probably from about mid to late august).
My plan is to do a fair amount of hiking, in the Carpathians and Transylvania.
I will be travelling alone and am a woman in her early twenties.
Would be great to hear hiking tips/places to visit/things to see etc. from anyone, but particularly other females who have travelled and/or hiked alone in this region. Is there anything to look out for? How did you find it?
Also, was thinking…
Need small furnished apt. for 2 months June and July, preferably near the centre in Constanta (not in Mamaia or Eforie).
Any suggestion or offer more than welcome.
Me and a couple of friends are going to be a whole week in Romania and want to experience the country as much as possible. We drafted an itinerary, but would be great if you could revise it / give suggestions / comments.
We are aware that some distances are long or ambitious, but we are willing to wake up early if necessary.
Thanks in advance!!
Day 1 (saturday): Arrive in Bucharest mid-afternoon. Train to Brasov.
Day 2: rent a car in Brasov and drive to to Bran + stop in Rasnov (+/-…
I am working out the details traveling from Turkey (Istanbul) to Athens and then to Romania. Although I would love traveling by train, the first leg from Istanbul to Athens I will take a convenient flight because of difficulty in train connections. after spending around a week in Athens & Sifnos, I would like to travel to Bucharest by train. However, i find that there are no direct trains and therefore I may prefer to traveling to Sofia, spend a couple of days there and then take the…
Myself and partner are planning on five nights in Transylvania in June going to Cluj, Sighisoara, Brasov and Sibiu. Any suggestions on how many days to stay in each (was thinking Cluj x2 night, day trip to Sighisoara en route to Brasov x2 night and then x1 in Sibiu).
Also any ideas on the best ways to get around via trains/busses/taxis just as we won't be hiring a car or taking an organised tour.
while our coming trip to Romania focuses mainly on Transylvania, we also plan to spend 2 days touring the Bukovina painted monasteries, before driving back to Bucharest for our flight home.
Because Suceava-Bucharest is a rather long drive, what would you recommend as a good spot to visit along the route?
We are two adults, a toddler and a baby.
Thank you very much!
