The plane tickets are booked and it’s time to start planning for our trip to Romania and Bulgaria in 2018! Having initially not thought about doing it, we’re looking at hiring a car for the entire trip of around five weeks. From Budapest we’ll be catching the train to Timișoara then hoping to hire a car there.
One of my questions to the forum is 'who can we hire from?'. We’ve done a preliminary check and though Magrenta seemed a good option their response to just one question we asked has been…
We are going to Romania for 9 days and we´ll rent a car to travel around. The idea is to spend 1 day in Bucarest and 5 days in Transylvania visiting:
-Bran/Brasov (1-2 nights)
- Farga Montains and around
We´ll have 2-3 days left. we are thinking about visiting Bucovina and Maramures in these 2-3 days. Do you think it is enough? Otherwise, ww would go to Bucovina and Mamaia. What do you think is better?
Beside this, I´d like to know if it is hard to…
Can anyone recommend someone who can transfer 11 people from Bucharest airport to Vama Veche? I've dropped the a ball on this, and have left it rather late. What would be a fair price?
We can do a 1-day trip (or possibly 2-day trip if we return early the next day) from Iasi, Romania. We were thinking of going to Chisinau, Moldova and going to some wineries. Would you recommend doing that, or going somewhere else? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Me and a friend are renting a car to travel around Romania in August and we'd like to go to the Danube Delta for a daytrip to check out the landscape and fauna (we'll be in Constanta).
I guess the obvious way would be driving to Tulcea and doing some kind of excursion from there. I normally avoid excursions as they take away my freedom to do whatever I want, but on the other hand I understand sometimes they are the only choice to access a variety of spots on limited timeframe.
Hi, me and my family (4 people all over 20 years old) are planning to go to Romania for 5 days but we are a bit unsure about where to start our route. We'd like to visit castles and some fortified or medieval towns so we were wondering if it was better to start in Bucharest or in Cluj Napoca (the only possible destinations from where I live). Where do you think it's more convenient to start our trip from?
Since there is almost no information on how to get to the Retezat National Park by means of public transport, I have decided to write something about it.
The best way to get there is by bus, instead of train. There is no direct busconnection between Retezat and Timisoara, so the best way is to get a bus by Normandia from 'Autogara Normandia' to Hateg. They run quite frequently, you can check the schedule at autogari.ro.
The tickets aren't sold on the bus itsself, but at a small kiosk in…
Me and my daughter just booked 2 airplanes tickets to Romania... and we're leaving next week ! I know i'll spend a lot of my evenings searching for information on internet, but maybe you could help us.
We don't want to rush. We rented a car for the whole trip and we will be traveling with our tent. The idea is obviously to visit a few villages, castles and chruches but, most of all, we would love to enjoy the countryside, walk on mountain paths,... I tought about doing wild camping or…
Hi!We are going to Romania for 9 days in August. We are going to visit Transylvania. We would liketo go to Sofia and maybe Veliko Tarnovo.Does antbidy know if there is any night train/bus between Sofia and Bucarest? We are renting a car but it's not allowed to take it to other country.
Do yiu think we have enough time to visis transyñvania,Buvarest(i think half day would be enough) and a place in the black sea in 7 days, leaving 2 days for Sofia and Veliko Tarnovo?
Also,do you think it is enough to…
