Land
Bus
From Oradea bus station (autogară; 418 998; Str Râzboieni 81), there are daily services to Beiuş, Deva, Cluj-Napoca and Timişoara, via Arad. Maxitaxis run throughout the day to/from Băile Felix. Four daily go to Baia Mare, via Satu Mare (€4.50, four hours).
There are daily services to Budapest leaving from outside the train station: a state bus (€17, 10 hours) – pay the driver – and maxitaxis (€20).
Car & motorcycle
The border crossing into Hungary for motorists at Borş, 16km west of Oradea, is open 24 hours.
Train
The Agenţie de Voiaj CFR (130 578; Calea Republicii 2; 7am-7pm Mon-Fri) sells advance tickets for internal and international train trips.
Daily fast trains from Oradea include three to Budapest (€28), two to Bucharest (€22), five to Băile Felix, three to Cluj-Napoca (€11), one to Braşov and three to Timişoara (€7).
Air
Tarom (131 918; Piaţa Republicii 2; 8am-6pm Mon-Fri, 10am-1pm Sat) operates three flights a week to Baia Mare, two flights to Satu Mare and daily flights to Bucharest from Oradea airport (416 082; Calea Aradului). Fares are US$75/112 one-way/return, plus taxes (Tarom does not accept euros).
