Bagels Restaurants

  1. A

    St-Viateur Bagel & Café

A splendid café that serves its signature bagels, grilled or nature, with soup or salad. There are about a dozen sandwiches but most popular are the traditional smoked lox with cream cheese, and roast beef with Swiss cheese and tomato. You can also find breakfast bagels with eggs and ham.

  2. B

    Brick Lane Beigel Bake

You won’t find fresher (or cheaper) bagels anywhere in London than at this bakery and delicatessen; just ask any taxi driver (it’s their favourite nosherie). It’s always busy: with market shoppers on Sunday and Shoreditch clubbers by night.

  3. C

    Bagel Mama

How clever of someone to think of selling bagels in the Jewish quarter. Whether you are a bagel traditionalist (lox and cream cheese) or a bagel innovator (warm brie and tomato), you'll find something you like. For some reason, there are also burritos on the menu.

    St-Viateur Bagel

Currently the bagel favorite of Montréal, St-Viateur Bagel has a reputation stretching across Canada and beyond for its perfectly crusty, chewy and slightly sweet creations – check out the newspaper articles from around the world.

  5. E

    H&H Bagels

Bagels may have been invented in Europe, but they were perfected around the turn of the 19th century in New York City – and once you’ve had one here, you’ll have a hard time enjoying one anywhere else. Which baker creates the ‘best’ bagel in New York is a matter of (hotly contested) opinion, but most agree that H&H Bagels (www.handhbagel.com), with this location on the Upper West Side (and the main store in Midtown West, at 639 W 46th St) ranks pretty high.

    Fairmount Bagel

One of Montréal’s famed bagel places –people flood in here around the clock to scoop them up the minute they come out of the oven. Bagels are one thing Montrealers don’t get creative with. They stick to classic sesame or poppy seed varieties, though you can pick up anything from chocolate-chip to sundried tomato bagels here too.
