Hello - I am combining some sightseeing and working from San Juan de Puerto Rico and looking for a budget accommodation with good wifi... I checked a few hostels but their wifi seem flacky.... any recommendations?
I am looking for an alternative 2 week adventure from Jamaica in PR. If anyone has any itinerary ideas (Old San Juan, north coast etc.) I'd much appreciate it. Mature adventurous solo female loves music/good food/nature (nothing too crazy) & hanging in cultural environment. Day tours type situation may be open to. Medium budget, camping & hostels not an option. Safety/hygiene & fresh food always important.Thank you all!
I'm a very experienced traveler, very experienced in the backcountry, live full-time in a Colorado mountain town, and enjoy adventure. I'm planning a week in Puerto Rico, solo, and want to soak in as many experiences as possible, on a budget. I'm not looking for group tours, touristy bullshit, or San Juan recommendations. I want to know from people who have immersed themselves in the area what I ought to try and see. I'm including beaches, forests, hiking, surfing, whatever can be done…
Hello, I'm a female solo traveler going to San Juan in mid-May for a week. I'm looking for some recommendations for a clean, quiet and safe budget guesthouse (no hostals, please). I would like to find one in the Old San Juan area, but I'm open to suggestions for one in another area that is close to tourist attractions. Thanks for any help you can give me!
...in terms of the beaches and the landscape?
As part of our larger PR trip, we will be in Vieques for 2 nights. On the morning of the third day, instead of just going back directly to Ceiba(flying), I was thinking we could first fly into Culebra instead, spend the day there, and take the afternoon flight to Ceiba.
but since we are already so close to Culebra, and I don't know when we will next be able to come back to PR, I thought we should at least experience Culebra if not even just for a…
We're headed down to San Juan in March with a 3 and 5 year old. We're pretty much just hanging out at our resort but will want to get from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel (in Condado) to Old San Juan several times. It's certainly not worth it to rent a car--and pay for parking-- with car seats for this amount of travel. Does anyone know of any taxi services with car seats? Do most folks in SJ just put their kids on their laps and trust that slow traffic keeps all safe? Any…
Have recently received a wedding invitation (read: summons ) to a family wedding in PR in June.
It going to be a pricey trip to fly from London. If im going that far, can anyone suggest another, contrasting, country that i can add on to my trip that is nearby (and therefore cheap to get to)? I want to get a bit more out of my trip that just a beach resort (which im sure will be wonderful).
Apologies for the silly question - no research done.
Hi guys, I recently travelled to Puerto Rico with friends for 4 days, we did a little bit research and also asked local guides for tips. If you are also a foodie or just look for places to eat before you go, check my blog post here about my recommendations including different dining atmosphere and specific dishes to try.
sorry to ask a so simple question but me and the missus are doing 2 weeks over new year split between san juan and rincon. do we need to rent a car to get between the two? we'll be 5 days each. 400 euro for a rental and we just want to land on the beach at rincon, not travel. is there a bus option or private driver?
