Red Baron Pub

Lonely Planet review

This place has been a juggernaut on the Mayagüez party scene since the mid-‘80s, and has adapted well with its reliable charms: supercheap drink specials, ear-splitting music and events aimed at college kids looking to blow off some steam. The dance club above El Garabato, Red Baron often has a DJ spinning reggaetón, rap, hip-hop and Spanish rock. Lots of students get tanked-up downstairs and then come up to work the dancefloor and enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the city until the small hours. Cash only.
