Hiding in the hills about 5 miles north of Guayama, this family-operated butterfly sanctuary covers nearly 200 acres of semi-tropical land carefully watched over by a Puerto Rican couple. The 90-minute tour reveals an enormous variety of flora, fauna and wildlife and a chance to savor the fresh mountain air. Reservations are recommended. To find the sanctuary, go north on Rte 15 to Rte 179. Turn onto Rte 747 and make a right at the sign at Km 0.7.
