Lonely Planet review for Ajili-Mójili
The waiters wear hats and the reception displays aromatic cigars from the Dominican Republic, so leave your sandals and singlet in your room and venture out to this classy Condado classic. Housed in one of the neighborhood’s few remaining eclectic mansions, the menu is high-end comida criolla – such as island-style pork loin with mofongo – while the atmosphere is refined and romantic. Expect discreet service and sky-high prices.

Authentic food, but.....
mayatime recommends this,
We sought out this restaurant because it is "the place" to get authentic island food. The restaurant is nice, but not that high-end. Not a place for beach wear for sure, but not a suit and tie cocktail dress place either. It's a very comfortable place, partly overlooking the water. The wait staff was very nice, and explained the menu items very well. Our waiter helped us decide what to try from the menu, and even provided us with some tid bits to taste. It's not a place to go if you are in a hurry. The meal takes a while, as is the case in Caribbean and Latin America. The food was nicely presented, and seemed like very authentic food. But, we were disappointed. We really did not care for our meals. It was not the fault of this restaurant. But, my advice would be to try Puerto Rican food for the first time in a less expensive setting. In retrospect, I wish we had done that. The experience was nice, but it wasn't cheap.
