Sea Gate Guesthouse
Lonely Planet review
Situated on a hill high above the town, the Sea Gate is a bit of a hike from the ferry dock, most of it uphill. But once you get here, it’s a different world. Horses roam freely in the surrounding grounds (and can be rented for horseback riding, see opposite), lush vegetation fills the garden, and views of surrounding countryside are panoramic. The crux comes with the animals. This place is dog-friendly – yes, they’ll accommodate your pet and give him/her a ‘doggie bag’ on arrival. If sharing a house with myriad canines ain’t your cup of tea, you might want to try something a little closer to town.
Our independent authors have visited Sea Gate Guesthouse and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Vieques.
