I have been trying to get in contact with Hacienda Gripinas and was wondering if anyone has stayed there recently? I tried email and submitting a request via their website. I haven't tried calling as it costs quite a bit to do so with my phone plan.
That is where I was hoping to stay while in the mountains but will look elsewhere if they are closed. They were the place that appeared to be most reasonable.
Any other recommendations? I also found Casa Grande, if anyone knows anything…
So I have my trip booked for Puerto Rico, I'm so excited!! I'm going to be there 5 days, 4 nights. I want to see Culebra and Vieques. Is it enough time to spend 1 night in Culebra then fly to Vieques the next day and spend one night there?
Also, can you please advise any must see things? Like we were trying to decide if it's better to do it on your own or should we do a 6 hour ecotour?
We are travelling to Culebra for a January family wedding and are thinking of maybe putting together three weeks or so of travel. What are the airline routes like in & around Puerto Rico ? Cuba, St Kitts, Dominican Republic have all been considered by us for different reasons. If you have ideas of easy flights ( or does one have to head back to Miami as a hub for that area ), fun ferries ( or other freight / cruise opportunities ) please inform. Highlights for us -music, discovery…
Plan on heading to Arecibo Observatory then hit the coastline on the way back for caves, hidden beaches etc. We have 4 people (myself and wife, 9 year old daughter and wife's mother) - the private SUV can take 3 more. Let me know if you are interested. Tour guide charges $60 an hour and we are looking at 8 hours to be split equally. Thanks, Fran
Going with a friend to PR at the end of June for 5 nights. We'll be staying in downtown SJ and intend to take day trips with a rental car. I'd appreciate some guidance.
1. Car rental - I have reserved with Dollar but saw that Charlie Car Rentals was recommended. Is it much better/cheaper?
2. Parking in SJ - I don't really want the hassle or of parking on the streets. Does anyone know if the public parking lots in SJ are safe and how much they cost? It seems the Cochera Parking…
I am a parent in the United States, thinking about taking a large student group to Puerto Rico. It is a Spanish immersion class, so everyone understands Spanish well and many of us speak it well. The students will be 13 years old at the time of travel. We think perhaps Puerto Rico might serve our purposes best because some of our students cannot get US passports. However when I look at the descriptions of re-entry back INTO the US at the end of our trip, I wonder if the reality is that we might…
We will be in PR from October 9 thru 15. I am willing to rent a car to get around if that is advised. We will fly into SJU and leave by cruise ship. We welcome all advice. Thanks
Hi , I am looking for a travel companion to go to Puetro Rico in May-June 2015. Someone who enjoys outdoor and active. The hotel packages include air fare and relatively cheaper so looking for someone who is willing to share a room.
