Hello any suggestions on a budget friendly place to stay in La Parguera/Lajas? Going to be taking advantage of the snorkeling and bio bays here so something closet to water, private room for under $50 per night?
I'll be flying in PR feb 4-10 and spending part of the time in SJ and most in Vieques. Does anyone have any good recommendations for fun, off the beaten touristy path, activities?
Also, I'll be traveling solo so I'd love to meet up with down to earth, adventurous people to check out PR with, get drinks etc.
I read somewhere on the internet that the roads are not all maintained in Puerto Rico and you may want to think twice about renting a car there depending on what route you would drive.
My friend and I are getting off a cruise and spending the night in Puerto Rico and here is the route we have come up with:
Looking to do a spontaneous winter getaway from chilly and overcast Seattle. Has anyone been to both Kauai and PR? Obviously they are very different places. But both a tropical islands. Wondering if anyone has been to both and could tell me which one they would prefer and why. I plan to do some swimming, hiking, snorkeling, and general exploring. Both are about the same distance from Seattle with similar airfares. Thanks!
Is it advisable to book a jeep in advance for Vieques? For flexibility, I'd prefer to rent upon arrival, but I don't want to risk no availability. The trip is about 2 weeks away.
My boyfriend and I are looking to share a taxi from the Fajardo ferry terminal to San Juan on Sunday, January 25th. We will be taking a morning ferry in from Culebra (arriving Fajardo around 8am) and then travelling to San Juan. If you are in Vieques, Culebra or Fajardo and travelling to San Juan that day and would like to share a taxi, please message me! Happy Travels!
I'll be staying in San Juan for a long weekend next month (1/22-1/25) and am looking to do some day-trip nature excursions.
Does anyone have recommendations on what to do / see? I'm looking to stay relatively close to San Juan but have heard about some amazing opportunities in the area (hiking, kayaking, ziplining, etc.). If you have recommendations on tour companies or work in the tourism industry yourself, please feel free to message me.
Also, if there are any events happening 1/22-1/25 or…
We are an older couple looking for a twelve day winter break in February. Our travel style is just that - travel. We like to experience the culture and natural beauty of places and to keep busy with just a little down time. We do not fly while in country; our physical activity is hiking, but no golf or none of the water based activities that makes Puerto Rico so popular (except for part of a day on the beach). Based on that, below is what we have come up with and would sincerely appreciated…
Hey all! I only have a few days to spend on one of the two, which do you guys think is more worth it? I enjoy meeting fellow travelers and hiking, snorkeling, other physical activities. Curious if there's a favorite out there thank you!
