Established in 1984, Lonely Planet USA is repsonsible for providing the world's best travel content to North and South America. Books and guidebooks for nearly every corner of the world, along with Lonely Planet Television, Lonely Planet Images and Lonely Planet Digital Products are marketed, sold and produced from this office, which houses a staff of 90.

About Lonely Planet UK

Lonely Planet UK was set up in 1991 to expand on and create new opportunities in the UK and European markets. For seven years the office concentrated on sales, marketing, publicity and promotions in these markets until 1998 when they set up a publishing unit. The UK office now comissions all country and regional guides to Europe and has 50 employees. The office recently moved from Clerkenwell to City Road, London.

About Lonely Planet Asia-Pacific

Lonely Planet's Melbourne office is the base for the global management and planning team. With over 320 staff, including editors, designers, and cartographers. The majority of titles are published in Melbourne, which also has responsibility for sales, marketing and distribution in the Australia, Asia and Pacific region. Associated business divisions, such as Lonely Planet Television and Lonely Planet Images are based here.
