To celebrate the launch of The Food Book, Lonely Planet is hosting a ‘World Eats’ Instagram competition. Many travelers take photos of their meals while on the road—now they can share and win something for those photos! Between November 5th and December 17th, 2013, anyone who adds the hashtag #lpworldeats and @lonelyplanet to their Instagram photo will be entered into the competition. We also ask that they include a geographic location and basic description of the meal. Their photo will be displayed on the World Eats website at lonelyplanet.com/lpworldeats, where all photos can be perused and voted on. Six weekly winners will be chosen to have their photos posted on the LP Instagram channel (to be showcased to over 80,000 Lonely Planet followers), and will receive a copy of The Food Book. One grand-prize winner, selected from the six weekly winners, will receive $250 worth of Lonely Planet books of their choice.
