This pleasant vegetarian restaurant has satisfying daily specials featuring tofu, seitan and tempeh paired nicely with goat cheese, shiitake mushrooms and other fresh ingredients. Nakité also has fresh juices and good desserts. Dine inside (amid piped-in New Age tunes) or on the back patio next to a gurgling fountain.

    An old farming area, Maia once used to be a municipality in the old town of Porto that supplied fresh produce. One leftover from those days is a rich culinary tradition wrought with the wisdom and savours of olden times and based on the high quality of its raw materials.
    This may be why Maia is today noted for its excellent restaurants, which really are temples to gastronomy.
    Still making use of traditional products, techniques and flavours, Maia also produces today a «vinho verde» of quality which, back in the 18th century, used to be exported to Europe. You can enjoy trying some culinary specialities here that are of quite remarkable quality, and which are bound to please you. Your delicious meal will culminate in a rich selection of deserts, many of them originating in convents( lidadores)

    Taste the traditional gastronomy ( cabrito à maiata or bacalhau à lidador)

    My favourite restaurant in Porto!

    Food was really tasty (especially seitan with mushrooms was delicious) and service friendly. Loved the tiramisu as well! Went here three times during our stay. Mains are more like 8-10 euros though.
