Pastelaria Coelho information
This has to be the most deceptive spot in Faro. It looks like a pastelaria from the outside, yet inside, it morphs into a restaurant ( the adjoining dining area gets packed to the gills) and serves up some hearty daily specials for a Portuguese song. Think everything from xarém (maize meal with meat or fish) to turkey stew for around €2 to €4 a plate. It's a favourite among the locals.
