Land

Bus

Buses run between Setúbal and Lisbon’s Praça de Espanha (€3.40, 45 to 60 minutes, at least hourly) – or from Cacilhas (€3.10, 50 minutes, every 15 minutes Monday to Friday, at least every two hours Saturday and Sunday), a quick ferry-hop from Cais de Alfândega. Services also run to Évora (€5.75, 1¾ hours) and Faro (€13.90, four hours, two daily), and to Santarém (€9.40, three hours 20 minutes, six daily Monday to Friday, three daily Saturday and Sunday).

Train

From Lisbon’s Terreiro do Paço terminal you can take the ferry to Barreiro station, from where there are hourly suburbano (suburban) trains to Setúbal (€1.75, 45 minutes, at least hourly).

Boat

Car and passenger ferries to Tróia depart half-hourly to hourly every day (car and driver €5.50, passenger €1.10). Note that car ferries, cruises and passenger ferries all have different departure points.
