Hey guys!
Does anyone wants to join me hitch hiking to Boom Festival 2016 on the 10th of August from Madrid? It´s always more fun having company while waiting for a ride!
Or does anyone has an hint or two where the best spot is to start in Madrid?
I was also looking through car pooling sites but I did´t find anything yet. So why not give it a try here.
Is anyone going by car from Madrid to Boom festival on the 10 th? We can of course share the expenses for gas.
i really hope someone can help me…

Car hire

Hi everyone,

In the very early stages of planning a trip to Portugal in October/Nov. We were thinking of a road trip down the coast - from Porto to Faro, basically hugging the coast. If there's time, we wanted to go to Seville but only have 3 weeks so maybe just stick to Portugal.

Anyway, I was wondering: how is the weather around that time of year? Does anyone have recommendations for a cheap but reliable car hire company (that offers auto preferably)? I've been searching around but a lot of…

I'm going to Porto in a few weeks and looking to find a beach location to stay in for about 4 nights. Ideally no more than 2 hours travel from as that's where I'm flying in and out of.

I'm looking to find somewhere that's not too touristy and has a beach within walking distance.

Can anyone recommend anywhere to visit?

Staying in Cacela at the moment and thinking of a day trip with the kids across the Guadiana to Ayamonte in Spain tomorrow. My question is will there be many places closed on Monday in Ayamonte?

Hello all,

Please can someone recommend a location in Algarve for a summer holiday. Requirements are:
- A location which is 'chav' free. Sorry for using that term if it causes offence.
- Close to beach/es with reasonably easy access as I will be travelling with my children (5 and 2 yrs old). Ideally a beach where we won't be packed like sardines.
- A good selection of shops, cafes, restaurants/takeaways nearby would be great too.

We visited Alvor about 3 years ago and although we liked our stay…

TAVIRA FARO

Hi, I and my wife will spend 2-8 August in Tavira (via Faro airport) we will be staying at Tavira and mainly want to enjoy a nice beach not too crowded. We can also travel around a bit (for example daily trip to Faro? in case nice things to see)

We had to book the plane and hotel without being able to much research, so any tip on anything is valuable for us.

Could you recommend nice/calm beaches around Tavira, and nice places to see /things to do...
We are more interested in nature, and…

Hello !

I would like to go shark diving in the Açores in mid-September. I have the PADI Advanced Certificate. It looks like the best islands for that are Pico and Faial, but the cheapest tickets to get to Açores are to Sao Miguel. Are there sharks there aswell ? Could you recommend some diving centers ?

I am planning to stay around 8 days, is it enough to go around the island ?
Do I need a car to go around ?

I cannot find to much information so thanks in advance for your help !

Hi

We are a couple with a 3-year old looking to spend roughly 2.5 weeks in Portugal before finishing our trip in Andalucia in Spain. We would like to spend 4-5 nights in 3-4 cities in Portugal, starting in Lisbon and surrounds, then Porto. After that we would like to travel south before crossing the border to Spain. A few questions:

  • Knowing the length of journey from Porto to the south, where would you recommend to stay as a "half-way" point?
  • If we are to visit the Algarve (which I have…

Hi all,

I wanted to say thanks for the help I received in planning my trip to the Algarve. We stayed in Figueira, near Salema, in the end, and had a wonderful time. Our accommodation choice was absolutely perfect (Casa Meranka) and, despite visiting some clearly very touristy places, had a few days of total relaxation on the very much untouristy beach of Praia Figueira. Highly recommended!

Here are some photos from our trip:

Thanks!
