Happy Sunday travellers!
My girlfriend and I are going to Poland in February, flying to Poznan and leaving from Gdansk. I have made a first draft for a itinerary for the trip, and wonder if the schedule is too tight? Should we drop Torún, to be able to instead spend more time in Poznan?
Thu 19 Feb: Arrival in Poznan at 08:50. The rest of the day in Poznan.
Fri 20 Feb: Travel to Torún by train(1,5-2 hours) in the morning. The rest of the day to cover Torún Old Town.
Sat 21 Feb: Travel to Gdans…
Hi LP Folks,
I am planning a trip over the Christmas/New Year period and would like some help with the following:-
Like to see 'the sights' of Poland over this time period (2-3 weeks), do you think this is possible in this amount of time and what do you suggest?
Being Christmas/New Year will many sights/museums be closed and what city is the best to base myself in...I am thinking when everything is closed i.e. 25th I can still walk around and enjoy the architecture?
Is it possible to go…
Can anyone offer in previous experience with regards to trekking around the Tatras in mid November, i.e. what’s off limits etc. I plan to fly to Krakow & then make my way to Zakopane where I will hopefully have 7/10 days to go exploring. Also is it still possible to do any mountain biking around these parts at this time of the year? (Would need to hire a bike)
Also, what is Zakopane like for tourists at this time of the year? I don't like too many crowds around me!
Hi fellow travelers,
We will be visiting Warsaw for a 5 day city break at the end of October. We will be traveling with our 4 young kids (ages 12,10,7 and 4)and I am looking for ideas for a day trip. It look alike Torun seems to be one of the favourite options but getting there by train makes it a bit of a long journey. It takes almost 3 hours and we would need to catch the train at 06:59. Ouch!! Any other ideas that anyone can recommend would be welcome!!
Once in Warsaw, I was planning 2…
Could anyone please tell me if a normal bus/tram ticket for Kraków (bilet czasowe) is valid on regional trains within the city zone? In other words, can you use an MPK ticket on a Regionalne train from Płaszów to Główny, for example, or must a separate ticket for the regional train be purchased?
I've found information about integrated monthly tickets for journeys further out from Kraków, but not about within Zone I on czasowe tickets.
