Hello, i am traveling to Poland in mid-june and would love some opinions!

I have about 10 days, and im flying into Warsaw, and out of Gdasnk, so those are the two cities i know i will be going to.

First of all let me say that i have travelled quite a bit, and i don't care much about particular attractions, or museums, or landmarks, but rather just the feel and architecture of city, getting lost and exploring. And also just because i know its a common thing people will say haha, i am someone…

I will be volunteering as a native English speaker for a week for a group called Anglophile.
Has anyone heard of them? Comments?
They will pick me up from and return me to Old Town Warsaw on April 23 and 28, respectively.
(We will be at a hotel for the week near the Belarus boarder.)
I will be flying in and out of Warsaw's Chopin airport. I speak no Polish.
They will provide a city tour Sat afternoon April 22. Any suggestions for that evening, or my free day, Sat the 29th, before my 7pm flight. I was…

We will be travelling in late May from Krakow to Vilnius with a few days to spend on the way. Any suggestions for a good route/transport? We are interested in something a bit different from Medieval towns (after Prague and Krakow), like maybe an immersion in local culture or festival? What about a boat trip? Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I'm currently in Warsaw for work, and I'd like to take a weekend in early April to see some more of Poland's countryside - cycling or hiking a bit. I don't have a car, so I'm wondering what places you'd recommend to stay that can be reached by public transport from Warsaw in no more than ~ 4 hours, and from where I could start hiking or cycling directly.

I was thinking about going to Mazury, but not sure if it's ideal at this of the year, and whether traveling there would take too much…

Hi!
We are planning a skiing trip with the family to Zakopane area and Bialka Tatranzka in January next year (so plenty of time!) but are wondering how best to get around. A rental car will give freedom to explore different ski slopes, but is it considered safe for turists to drive? We live in south Sweden and see snow and ice for a few weeks every winter, but roads are kept well ploughed and most drivers are very careful, keeping the distance.
We have driven in Italy, UK, Seychelles, so are used…

Good evening,

We are going to be in Krakow for the Easter Long weekend 2017, and we wanted to visit Auschwitz on Easter Sunday, since the city will be closed. So my question, what is the best to get there considering it is a national holiday. Will the buses/trains be on holiday schedule and not a reliable source of transportation? Shall we rent a car and drive? We want to find the cheapest/most convenient way of visiting Auschwitz, but we know that Easter Sunday is a national holiday so things…

Hello!

I'd love some recommendations on where to accommodate myself on my upcoming trip to Cracow.

I'm mostly looking at apartments (as opposed to hotels), and would like something conveniently located. I've currently got my eye on www.apartmentinpoland.com, has anyone stayed with them?

Recommendations on sights to see and stuff to do are very welcome too!

Does anyone know if there are two different areas of passport control for incoming non-Schengen flights depending on if you have a connecting flight or not? I.e. one passport control for people exiting the airport and one separate passport control for people with connecting Schengen flights? Or do all passengers go through the same row of booths?

Hello All,
I am after some information on trekking the Tatra’s Mountains in August. We are looking to start in Poland, hiking the Polish 5 Lakes (day1) and then up to Rysy (day2), descending into Slovakia. However after that we are unsure on what routes to take. On finishing our hike, we are looking to catch a train/ bus back to our starting point Zakopane.

We would like to hike for 4-5 days.
Any recommendation on routes after Rysy? And websites to read.
I have read other posts, however they…
