  4. Grotowski Institute

    Wrocław is internationally known for its avant-garde Laboratory Theatre (Teatr Laboratorium), created by radical director Jerzy Grotowski (1933-99). Founded in 1990 in the theatre's former home, the Grotowski Institute has a complete archive and several documentaries on the Laboratory Theatre and invites various experimental groups, often from abroad, to give performances in its small theatre.
