Getting there & away

The bus and train stations are to the east of the centre, about 200m apart. Trains to Katowice (7.50zł, 45 minutes) via Tychy and Kobiór run roughly every hour. To Oświęcim (10zł, 1½ hours), take any of the frequent trains to Czechowice-Dziedzice and change there. There’s only one bus to Oświęcim (6zł, 40 minutes) but four to Kraków (15zł, 2¼ hours). If you want to get to Kraków and there’s no bus due, go by train to Katowice, from where trains leave every hour or so.
