Lonely Planet review for Kuranty

The menu is firmly based on the three Ps: pizza, pasta and pierogi (including a rather tasty baked version which looks suspiciously like the Italian calzone). Random photos and extraordinary Art Nouveau lights add to the atmosphere. Be warned: sports-playing TVs hang off the walls.

    Turned wood corners and intimate tables

    I spent a while living in Torun and although Kuranty wasn't the best restaurant for food, though the pizza's pretty good, it certainly has a nice atmosphere, particularly if you want a drink and a chat with friends. Has a kind of English pub meets Polish restaurant kinda charm.

    In Summer, the outdoor beer garden is quite nice. You can sit for hours without being hassled to buy more drinks and watch the world or the Torun world roll by. Very pleasant indeed.

    Downstairs has a bit more room for larger groups, but overall, it's set up for max. 6 to 8 person groups or smaller.
    Warm in Winter, cool in Summer - perfect.
