Lonely Planet review for Błyskawica

The destroyer Błyskawica has a fascinating story. Escaping capture in 1939 by the German invaders, it went on to serve successfully with Allied naval forces throughout WWII. In 1987 it was awarded the Golden Cross of Military Virtue, the only Polish ship to receive this honour. Now it’s a floating museum, and you can buy an informative English language booklet (5zł) from the on-board shop which outlines its history.
