Finally started booking tickets for my London - Singapore train trip starting December 10th and got hit by bad luck almost immediately. Seat61 recommends EN (Jan Kienpura) from Koln (Cologne) to Warsaw but this train in not available suddenly. Similarly no trains after 9th December from Warsaw to Moscow.
Is this something to be worried about immediately? Now when I have sorted all the visas, I don't want to fly from Germany to Moscow.
Any advise would help.
I'm having logistical issues getting from Krakow to Berlin. Ideally want to leave night of 17 December to arrive morning of 18 December. No direct trains, although can go via Warsaw, Poznan or Szececin according to various websites. However, on bahn.de and Polish rail if you try to book for 17 Dec, trains take +1 day or you simply can't book as no fare is available. Have found an overnight coach from Warsaw to Berlin, which would suit us fine, but now can't seem to book the fast train from…
We are planning to spend New Year's eve in Wroclaw. As many vanues typically require a reservation for food or even dancing on this evening, I want to be prepared, and have those reservations down my belt.
So the company will be mid-thirties to fourties people, we like good food, a cosy atmosphere, and dancing. Well who doesn't like those things ;-). We prefer down to earth and edgy over posh. Or some old-time, falterning glory like the Ballhaus in Berlin. Do you have any cool suggestions?
I’m visiting Warsaw in February for 3 days. I visited about 11 years ago for a couple of days so only did the main tourist things such as Old Town, Palace and Science and Culture and Lazienski Park.
Whilst I’ll probably still visit the park I’m interested to hear what else people recommend. I could just dig out my copy of Lonely planet from 2004 but would rather hear it first hand.
Also, whilst budget is not tight I’m not interested in frittering money away on expensive food so tips on good…
I'm having a trip to Bieszczady mountains in southern east of Poland in the next month and I'm looking for a place in Warsaw to rent my camping gear (tent, sleeping bags, and those kind of stuff)
Quick question: I get into Gdansk Autobusowy on an overnight bus. My hotel is in Stagiewna. I'm wondering if a tram is straightforward between the two points, or is it walkable/how long to walk?
Thanks in advance
I'll be spending a day in Poznan next week, and going on from there to Gdansk.
It seems that I can take a train to Tczew early morning and then a regional train to Malbork. If I do that I can visit Malbork midday and take a later train from Malbork to Gdansk. The alternative is a direct Poznan-Gdansk train with Malbork a day trip thereafter. In addition, I'll be going to Warsaw after Gdansk, so a third option is to stop in Malbork on the way between them.
Any advice as to which alternative…
I will be in Warsaw for 4 days at the beginning of December. I have been there several times now so I am interested in a day trip either by train (preferred) or bus. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
