Hi. I am living in Berlin and planning to visit Warsaw sometime in July . I am a big Jazz fan , so if anyone can recommend places to go to see top Polish jazz that would be great. Also is it possible to go to the coast from Warsaw on a day trip by train. I realise it would mean leaving early/coming back late but the days are longat the moment!
We are planning to visit Poland for the first time next September. The only fixed thing is that the trip is 12 days and we fly into Poznan and fly out of Krakow.
We were thinking of doing the following:
Poznan (2 days)
Wroclaw (3 days)
Zakopane (3 days)(2.5 days, we`d spend all morning travelling from Wroclaw through Krakow)
Krakow (4 days)
How does that sound? We like cities as well as easy hiking. Would it be worth adding an extra night at Zakopane? If so, what should we cut down?
Hello, Does anyone know if it is possible to drive from Gdansk in Poland to Tallinn in Estonia. And, are there any suggestions of what to see. Thanks, Jan
I will be flying into either Gdansk or Bydgoszcz to visit my son who is working in Swiecie. I am trying to find out how do I get from either Gdansk or Bydgoszcz airports to Swiecie? Can we book a taxi for a day to drive us around?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Many ways to get to Wielicka from Krakow. It's only 20 mins by train from Krakow Glowny and this was my choice of transportation; Platform 1, got my ticket on the train.
If I was to repeat the experience, I'd take the Polish language main tour to save 30 zlotys and have this tour even though I'd understand probably nothing. The explanation of the art wasn't too exiting and there were signs in English anyway. Then I'd go for the English speaking tour of the museum part; this tour was very…
Has anyone succeeded in hiring a car in the Netherlands, taking it to Poland and returning it to the Netherlands? I'm finding it difficult to find a car that can be taken there. Would the car company know if you went to Poland?
does anyone have any experience with this route? on the train it is a tlk train (older than the eip and eic trains, as i understand it) and the bus i am looking at is polskibus. a long trip, around 10 hours, so concerned about legroom and whether/how much the seats recline.
Hello I'm planing to visit Cracow within few months. Could you please tell me something more about transport from airport and maybe few tips regarding visiting Auschwitz?
Many thanks in advance :)
We are travelling later this month from Berlin to Krakow via Szczecin. We will have about three hours, maybe a little more, between the train from Berlin and the train to Krakow, and the break is timed well for an early supper--useful because there's apparently no food service on the train. Do any of you know of a decent restaurant close to the Szczecin station so that it doesn't require a lot of travel to and back? Just to complicate matters, we eat fish but no poultry or meat.
