I've heard mostly good things about Leo Express (from another travel site). But, also read one or two bad reviews. The bad reviews indicated that their online reservations (paid in full, apparently) were not honored.

However, the rest of the reviews were pretty good. I've not seen a reference to Leo Express on Thorn Tree so would like to know if any TT folks have experience with this train line.

Thanks,
Kim

Hi

A friend and I are going to be in Poland in July for a wedding. We land in Kraków on Wednesday morning and don't plan to be in Bydgoszcz on Friday afternoon. Any suggestions on what to see and what to do would be great!

Hello,
I posted this in the Hungary section as well since that is where I be traveling from.

I couldn't get a direct train from Budapest to Kraków so I bought a ticket that requires me to change trains in Katowice (as recommended by the ticket agent). It was only after I bought the ticket that the the agent told me I'd need to buy a ticket from Katowice to Kraków upon my arrival in Katowice (I thought the ticket would cover both legs).

My questions are: Does this sound correct? Do you…

If one crosses red lights in Poland, often polish police instead of catching criminals, hides behind shops. cars or trees to catch pedestrians to issue fines. Polish police speaks broken English enough for you to understand them. Please do not pay on spot, contest it. Let them to write a report, it will go to the court. Polish court will not be able to chaise you as you do not have polish residency nor address in your passport. Invent one when they write their report. Polish police cannot…

So recently I bought myself a tongue drum and now I think I am ready to hit the streets. Do I need permits in Warsaw or can I just turn up and play? Any forbidden areas ? Anyone had bad experiences there ?

Are there tours from Warsaw to Kaliningrad?

Anyone toured Kaliningrad on there own from Warsaw? I know a Russian visa is required
and bus travel is possible. Curious to know how much of a hassle this is and/or is it worth
the time and expense to do so. Thanks for any feedback

Hello,

I am visiting Gdansk 8-11 April 2016 and would like some recommendations of things to do. I'm 29 and I often write about travel, looking for unique things to focus on. I will visit some of the more famous sites, but I was hoping to learn of some unusual and interesting places to visit. This could be sites or restaurants, shops bars and cafes.

Thanks,

Ronan
