I arrive in Warsaw (East Station) by train Moscow-Berlin 013M at 11.53 PM on July 8. I have to catch a train for Otrokovice next morning from either the East or Central Station. As there is a better choice of hotels near the Central station, I'd like to stay at one of them for the night.
Looks like 013M does not stop at Centralna. Even if it does, my ticket's destination station is Warsaw East. Can I take any other train from the East station to the Central Station at that hour of the…
We would like to do a 3-4 day hike sleeping in huts overnight. We will be hiking between 6-10th of June and realize all major paths are still "closed". We are good hikers and would like to do medium to heavy hikes. Is it recommended to book a hut in advance at this time of year? Would we go for low or high Tatras? Slovak or Polish side? Are the paths really closed until the 15th?
Nice itinerary suggestions would be highly appreciated!!
Still booking Oct trip to Poland/Slovakia/Hungary. I am trying to decide to visit Zakopane and/or Poprad. Is one much more interesting than another? Should I skip one for the other? If I were to split the two, should I spend more time in one as opposed to the other. Looking to do some local hiking and basically chill between Krakow and Budapest.
Thank you and happy trails.

Does anybody know if it's possible to book international train tickets in advance from outwith Poland? I want to go from Warsaw to Lviv in July but I can't see how to book a ticket in advance from the UK.
Hi, I'd be very grateful for any advice. We're planning to start a cycle trip from Zakopane, and want to take our bikes on the train from Krakow.
We're leaving on a Sunday morning - haven't had any luck finding a timetable! Any suggestions?
I only found per google search a train at 11:46am, arriving at 14:47... does this sound right? Would it be o.k. to just turn up at the station, without pre-booking?
Also, I don't know if there are restrictions on taking bikes along.... would anyone know?
Has anyone ever had problems with buying a ticket from Poland to Germany through Deutsche Bahn? Booking through PKP InterCity is extremely expensive and i believe they are scamming people with their prices or "cheaper ticket" availability.
I will be in Poland in mid June leaving at the beginning of July. I have already booked my Berlin-Poznan train tickets via Deutsche Bahn for 5 people including children (3,4 and 6 years old). The process was simple and we have 5 seat reservation but are only…
After a change of plans, i will be departing my mid-June trip to Poland by flying out of Berlin, rather than Gdasnk how i had originally planned.
This means i will be travelling from Wroclaw to Berlin, and would like to stop a night in either Poznan or Gorlitz/Zgorzelec. I mostly am a fan of walking around cities and exploring the neighborhoods, not particularly museums or specific sights. Which of the two would you recommend?
Canadian here! I'm planning on going to Southwestern Poland in late June to early July by myself. I'll likely stay in the region for two weeks or so.
The most important part of this trip is going to Popielow, as that's my grandparents hometown and I'd love to visit. My main question is transportation- how would you suggest I get there? When I was in Italy there were plenty of busses, taxis, trains. I'm fine with walking within the smaller towns, and taking the train or bus in the big…
I have gleaned much helpful info reading through the posts for the last few years. Thanks to all for your posts.
I seek opinions from seasoned travelers and Poland experts on how to best use a short timeframe trip window (12 nights in country) to get a good introduction to Poland on a first time visit, and not just to Poland but to "eastern europe" if it makes sense to switch countries.
I will be flying into and out of Poland / eastern europe from/to the US - no other european…
