Due to a last minute change in tickets, my husband and I will have 6-7 hours in Warsaw this weekend. It's not a lot of time, but the airport seems close enough to the city that it would be feasible to explore a little. This was a bit unexpected, so we're just starting to research possibilities, and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! We obviously have to limit what we try to plan. With all the time in airplanes before and after, I'd prefer something outside to an art…
We are thinking of going to Poland for 2 weeks in end October. If we had to pick up 3 bases to stay and then take easy day trips from there which places from the following do you suggest? Gdansk, Krakow, Poznan and Warsaw. Please note that this will be last 2 weeks of October, we will be using public transport/trains and we like museums, castles, and nice attractions.
I will be in Warsaw this fall and would like to meet with people doing local food system development work there. If you know of anyone working on food access, food education, or food production in Warsaw, please let me know.
I will visit Poland next august by car, I will arrive from Berlin and I will have about 2 weeks (a bit less, in the 2 weeks I also have to drive back to Italy).
I will mainly stick to Southern Poland, and I have an idea of some places I would like to visit.
Any suggestion would be great!
I still have no idea on how much time I should be stay in every place (some are just short stops).
Krakow (+ Auschwitz, Wieliczka, Kalwaria Zebrzydowska)
Hello lovely people,
I am traveling to Warsaw from London in the first week of September and have two weeks to roam around before traveling back from Prague. Can anyone suggest a decent itinerary for 2 weeks? How many days you think is enough to spend in Warsaw and Krakow? and any other recommendations?
I am solely relying on public transports and on a budget. Appreciate any feedback :)
I will be visiting Krakow in September, and I'm looking for a place to stay for 5 nights that is around $50 USD or less. I would prefer a private room and bathroom. I'm a 32 year old female traveling alone, so I'm not interested in staying at a party hostel. Also, could someone explain what all the apartments I keep seeing are? Are these hotels or like AirBnBs?
Finally, I am planning to take the night train from Krakow to Prague, I think it leaves around 11pm. Is there anywhere to store luggage…
would gdansk be a good destination for a short 4-day getaway? what's there to do, see, eat, drink? i know i could google my ass off about the topic, but i prefer to ask people who may have been there and done it, so do forgive me :)
has anybody good experiences with bison watching tours in Bialowieza Park? We will travel there on 23/24 July.
On the internet I found 6h tours with PTTK or 3h tours with Pygmy owl Nature tours. Which one to take? Or did you use another company and liked their tour? My main focus is to see bison.
Currently teaching English in a tiny Polish village for 2 weeks and will head to Krakow on July 8. Need a reasonably priced place to stay for 3 nights and any advice on most important things to see in 2 days!! Auschwitz and Salt mines recommended. Most important, we are taking a train to Warsaw on Monday to catch a 6 AM flight on Tuesday July 12. Inexpensive hotel near the airport is our hope. Any thoughts, anyone? Thanks!!
Helllo! I am Ioana from Romania and I will be in Warsaw and Krakow at the end of July. I kind of lost myself between pages trying to find out what I could do in this cities in the small time I have. My main interest would be in theatre and music, but every other suggestion would be awesome! Thank you!
