    A very spooky place

    richardsamson1 recommends this,

This is an amazing place, largely untouched since the end of the Second World war, or so it would seem. It is semi-derilict, but you can get in to part of the factory (Schindler's office, the famous stairway from the Spielberg movie) thanks to a group of local Jewish volunteers who are trying to raise money to turn the building into a museum of remembrance. The plaque on the wall outside, donated by the State of Israel, is really touching. This place isn't easy to find, in the semi-industrial suburbs south of the river, and it's pretty much unsignposted, but it is well worth a visit. Along with the Kazimierz town square, it is one of the genuine spine-tingling Krakow experiences, and especially worthwhile for those (like me) not brave enough to visit Auschwitz.
