Occupying a prime location at the foot of ul Szeroka, the Hotel Ester is the snazziest accommodation option in Kazimierz. Unlike most of its neighbours, this soon-to-be four-star hotel offers a modern take on this up-and-coming area.
While renovations were ongoing at the time of research, the upper floors of this hotel are exemplary of Ester's end goal: spacious rooms decorated in subdued shades of white and beige and furnished with dark wood. The style is understated, which draws out architectural details like the mouldings around the walls and ceilings, making them all the more exquisite. Our chief beef with this place is that it offers only twin-size beds (pushed together if you actually want to sleep with your travelling companion) - hardly appropriate for an upscale establishment. Ester's restaurant also reeks of chic. The elegant interior and the picturesque courtyard are both lovely settings to savour Polish and Jewish dishes. Alternatively, take a seat at the pavement cafe and watch the world go by on ul Szeroka.
