Dukla Sights

  1. Historical Museum

The Historical Museum is housed in the decaying 18th-century Mniszech Palace (Pałac Mniszchów). In the autumn of 1944 one of the fiercest mountain battles of WWII was fought around the Dukla Pass, in which the combined Soviet and Czechoslovakian armies crushed the German defence, leaving more than 100,000 soldiers dead. The museum has a permanent display on the battle of 1944 and some temporary exhibitions

  2. Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene

Across the Krosno road to the northwest and next to the tiny Dukielska River is the mighty Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene, built in 1765. With its glorious pink and white stuccoed and marbled wood interior, it's a fine example of late Baroque and Rococo architecture.
