Getting there & away

All buses pass through and stop on the northeast and southwest sides of the Rynek. Buses to Jasło (4.50zł, 35 minutes) run regularly but only a few buses continue to Krosno (8zł, one hour). Plenty of buses run to Gorlice (1.80zł to 3.50zł, 30 minutes), and there are a couple of daily departures to Nowy Sącz (9zł, 1½ hours), Nowy Targ (19.50zł, 2½ hours) and Zakopane (26zł, 3½ hours).

Biecz’s train station, 1km west of the centre, handles a couple of trains a day to Jasło (9zł, 30 minutes), Nowy Sącz (14.50zł, two hours) and Kraków (34zł, three hours). There’s a daily departure for Warsaw (54zł, seven hours).
