I am just considering to go to Philliphinnes and the main activities which I am focused at, are multi-day mountain trekkings. I would like to make 2 or 3 mountain trekkings which last about 3-4 days. Are there such possibilities in Philippines or you would rather recommend to go somewhere else? If yes, which areas/ trekking trails would you recommend?
I will be also grateful for infomation on:
- is it possible to make the trekkings on my own/ without a guide? Is it safe (animals/…
Following some very helpful advice last month (this is now my third incarnation on TT), I booked my flights and have now narrowed down the trip. Taking out travel days and a 48hr layover in Beijing, i have 2 weeks from mid November.
My thoughts are these:
fly out of Manilla to Coron
By boat via linapacan for a couple of day, to El Nido
Overland to PP via Port Barton
fly back to Manilla day before flight home
Does that sound reasonable? I don't want to rush it but want to get a taste of a…
Im a college student who wanted to look for a place where I can feel I belong. Im from Manila and wanted to travel to Cebu as my first destination. I really need help badly on how to get there in a step by step instruction since its my first travel out of Luzon. If possible, not with a tour because I kinda want to explore the place myself during my sembreak alone and discover things by myself. I am really curious on how to travel both air and sea. I really love travelling through the ocean too…
will be going somewhere else besides the Philippines and the peso will not do well going forward...They have chosen China and Russia as their allies...war is not far away...pick your poison...lol
Hi, i’d like to to visit Ifugao villages this late November for 1 - 2 weeks (depending on how i like it). In that time, i guess i should take 2 - 3 different base hotels from where to go on nature daytrips. I have 3 guidebooks and studied some contradicting web information and am now more confused than ever about rice growing season. Obviously though, late November isn’t ideal.
Some personal preferences (yours may vary wildly, i know):
- usually i’d love a room with private bathroom, not…
I have a trip booked for February to Philippines and have seen some not so pleasant information on drug wars in the Philippines. Most of what I have seen is coming from Manila which I don't plan on spending any time. What is it like on Bohol, Cebu or Palawan?
My name is Jessica. I'm looking to make an adventurous trip next year Feb- March 2017 with a few friends. we would love to paddle from coron island to El nido, in a total of 12-15 days, camping on beaches and living as minimalistic and rustic as possible. However, I'm just concerned (keeping in mind that we are on a small budget as well)
as whether or not i should need a guide, or if we could simply hire kayaks and tents (bringing along all our own equipment and food) and head out.
Myself and my girlfriend are putting together a private boat tour of the Palawan islands at October/Beginning of November with the following company and are looking for people to join!
It can leave from coron to el nido or vice versa.
We're fairly flexible with dates and where we want to go in the area. We just want to experience some real island life and this looks like an authentic way to do it. Get in…
I'd like to day a day trip (on my own) from Manila to Taal Volcano in December. I'm terrible with directions, so I'm trying to find the dummies guide to doing it. So far, the best I've come across was a post by gwapo on this site. The route seems to be:
Pasay Terminal (San Augustin Bus)> Tagaytay (rotunda) > Lagusan Drive (near Picnic Grove) > Talisay > Get a boat
Can anyone confirm the above as a fairly easy way to get their on your own? Also, I would like some idea as to the total cost of…
