    Dec 19, 2008 - The term "its the journey, not the destination" definitely does not apply to the Underground River. The bumpy 2.5 hour drive from Puerto Princesa and the wet and wild 20-minute boat ride are not what I'd call enjoyable. Halfway through the trip, you'd start to wonder whether the river is worth all the trouble.But alas, we reached the river grounds, safe and sound. It seemed to be tucked away in some kind of a rainforest, like a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. It looks like a scene from Indiana Jones.
