Lonely Planet review for Max Brenner

This jazzy outlet of the revered chain of chocolate shops has all the rich drinks and treats you'd expect. There's also a small menu of breakfast items and heartier fare served through the day.

CHOCOLATE IS TRULY AN IRRESISTIBLE THING!

    gemalfred recommends this,

1st Visit: Funny poster of a bald man, cozy place, limited wooden table, bantam chair, (Oops!) bald waiters, mouthwatering Chocolate Fondue, crazy bananas, typical cookies, heavenly white chocolate, wicked black chocolate, marshmallow, espresso, soothing music, clinging couple, boisterous girls, man busy with his laptop, stuffed stomach, skin head waiter (again!), EXPENSIVE BILL…

2nd Visit: (Not so funny anymore) poster of a bald man, cushy chocolate shop, wooden table, children’s chair, bald waiters, palatable waffles, luscious hazelnut cream crepes, fit for king chocolate bar, mocha, elegant ladies, solitary old man reading newspaper, full stomach, bald waiter, COSTLY BILL…

3rd Visit: (Not Funny anymore) poster of a bald man, cozy place, the same old wooden table, tiny chair, the same bald waiters, mouthwatering Chocolate fondue (again), ordinary orange smoothie, still heavenly white chocolate, still wicked black chocolate, three cheerful Americans, gossiping young group, crying kid, full stomach, bald waiter, ABSURD BILL…

As much as I want to be frugal in this economic crisis, I can’t help but crave to come back for more. After all, CHOCOLATE IS TRULY AN IRRESISTIBLE THING!

    Chocolate Only

    jilltsai recommends this,

Max Brenner is known for its chocolate, and yes the chocolate is good (try the one in the hug mug... it's thick and creamy!), but the other types of food aren't great... the crepes were aweful... seemed old. So if you're planning a visit, stick to the chocolate desserts!
