Ziggurat

One would definitely remember a good plate when he had one!

Ziggurat offers a wide variety of Mediterranean cuisine from Mid-eastern deli to Greek, and that exotic Indian dishes. One can actually feel that tingling sensation in your palate that would want you to crave for more.

The great tasting treats are just fabulous. Its my third time to visit the place and im already planning on my future sidetrips to this restaurants. Kudos to the people behind Ziggurat!

Im originally from the province (Negros). And it was my second time here in Manila after working for a couple of years abroad in Jeddah. 

When my friends invited me to try this restaurant at the heart of Makati, I was a bit hesitant because of the theme of the restaurant. I was told that Ziggurat was offering an authentic Middle eastern experience. And since I've been to most part of the middle east, I can naturally say whether a cuisine is authentic or just a cheap mid-eastern cuisine wannabe.

At the restaurant, I have learned that they are not only offering Middle Eastern cuisines, but also African and Meditteranean dishes as well. When you look at their menu, you will be surprised at the huge selection of foods for you to indulge in. I guess thats why this restaurant is also called a Food Mecca.

Inside the restaurant, one can fully enjoy the experience with the help of their interior -- from the beautiful chandelier, the huge persian carpet, colorful lamps, low rise tables, intricate bordered pillows, hookah pipes and the vibrantly painted wall which provides an exotic if not outlandish experience to its customers.

The food that we ordered were a mix of Mid-Eastern, African and Meditteranean cuisine like the deliciously sweet Baklava, Mixed Kebab and the flavorful Somali Maraq Goat Stew. And true to its promise we really enjoyed our food and promised to come back to the place for another authentic experience.. We are yet to try the Indian menu.

For this restaurant, Im giving it a two thumbs up! Try it for yourself and see for yourself what I mean.
