Hap Chan

This authentic Hong Kong tea house serves the best mouth-watering fish fillet. This is seasoned with fried garlic, sweet soy sauce and topped with spring onions. They give generous serving for this order. You could also request that it be served with lemon sauce instead of the sweet soy sauce. This dish is a chef’s choice!

A hot tea also compliments the food being served.

For their dessert, I recommend almond jelly. It is served with crushed ice and piece of cherry which adds color to the dessert.

The place is open till wee hours in the morning. The food is also served fast! 

The cheap and quality dishes served at Hap Chan really satisfy the appetite of its patrons.

This is really a place for terrific Hong Kong-style cuisine at a reasonable price! Hap Chan rocks!!!

Ever since the original owners sold the rights to an investor there have been hap chan franchises sprouting all over the metropolis.  Some of the branches have suffered from lack of quality control, happily this main one retains it's original flavor.
The ambience is pleasant, its a good place for a quick meal. The house specialty is the garlic fish fillet, blanched dory fillets smothered in oyster sauce and heaps of crunchy garlic. The congee is also nice as well as the steamed tofu. 
The dimsum items are pretty basic but the old standards like steamed siomai, "hakao"(shrimp dumplings), pan-fried radish cake  remain fan favorites.
The congee, noodles and dimsum are inexpensive but the stir frys can quickly bump up the bill.  My verdict, if faced with a craving for something hot and satisfying in the wee hours, head over there they stay open till 1 in the morning!
