Part cultural centre, part gallery and part café, this delightful place oozes charm from the moment you walk in and hear the soothing fountain. You won't be surprised that the menu is eclectic; the salads and sandwiches are excellent. There's live jazz on Friday night.

Ricco Renzo is a cafe and gallery which features live musical performances from different artists -- ranging anywhere from jazz bands to flamenco dancers, on certain nights. They have a very comprehensive menu which covers breakfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner -- from coffee to cocktails. This makes it a good choice if you want to have a quiet night out with friends... some coffee or maybe a few beers? That and lots of conversation. We ordered Pepper Crusted Tuna Sashimi (P310 / US$6+), Greek Salad (P230 / US$4+), Spinach and Hummus Dip Tray (P190 / US$4), Pasta de Paulito (P260 / US$5+) for me, Pasta Margherita (P200 / US$4+) for my husband. For dessert, we decided to try their Famous Raffas Apple Pie (P175 / US$3+), since Ricco Renzo's website claimed that it was voted as one of Metro Manila's top ten desserts. Of all the things we ordered, we liked the Pepper Crusted Tuna Sashimi best. Raw tuna cubes encrusted with very flavorful freshly cracked pepper and sesame seeds, served with lettuce drizzled with their signature vinaigrette. It was sooo good -- it was one of the best appetizers/salads I've ever had. Our biggest mistake was the Greek Salad. It was supposed to have mixed vegetables and feta cheese, but the feta cheese were like a few miniscule crumbs scattered here and there. The other dishes were average at best. My Pasta de Paulito was too oily, I could not finish it. The menu described their Famous Raffas Apple Pie as having both apples and gouda cheese, but we could not find or taste the cheese. It was okay, nothing extraordinary that would merit being voted as a top dessert. Service was nice as is the whole place. Colorful and unique paintings decorate the walls. You can even go up to the second floor and check out their gallery for more artworks on display if you prefer. Food is average except for the completely wonderful Pepper Crusted Tuna Sashimi.
